Community Forest Partnership – We’re Almost There!

May 8, 2012 at 11:59 pm

 What’s in place:

• Your co-op board has been working for three months;

• The partnership Agreement is vetted and agreed to
by both parties and is ready to sign;

• Dialogue with our Klahoose partner continues to develop
into a positive working relationship;

• Initial discussions are well underway for developing the
Community Forest Application to reflect our partners
and our community values.

What’s not in place:

We are short $8,000 of the required $60,000 to meet our commitment to the Community Forest Partnership. This initial investment allows the Co-op to sign the Partnership Agreement, the crucial next step in moving forward with our community forest.

To meet this requirement the Co-op Board is requesting further financial support from the community. We are confident that a small amount of money from many people will get us to our goal. You can contact any Board member to ask how you can help: Kristen Scholfield-Sweet, Bruce Ellingsen, Mark Lombard, David Shipway, Hubert Havelaar, Delia Becker, Bob Tracy.
